Hey!
I get asked this all the time: "How much should I drill versus how much should I play?"
For the longest time, I didn't have a good answer. Then something happened at a recent training session that completely changed how I think about this question.
Here's what I discovered:
The math is shocking - 5 minutes of drilling per day gives you 8X more reps than playing alone (that's a 2,000% return on your time)
New players: don't drill yet - I'll explain why your first 2-3 months should be 100% gameplay
The groove problem - Your brain digs a groove whether you're doing it right or wrong... and bad habits become incredibly hard to fix
The 2 keys that matter more than time - Without these, you could drill 10 hours a week and stay stuck forever
I break down the exact ratios I recommend based on your experience level (with one caveat that might surprise you).
Because life is more fun when you’re good at pickleball.

P.S. - If you hate drilling, there's a different path that works too. I cover it in the video.
