It’s been a week and a half since our in-person ThatPickleballSchool retreat, and honestly, I’m still thinking about it.
Standing in that room, surrounded by players who have poured their hearts into improving, was surreal.
Barely over a year ago, ThatPickleballSchool was just an idea.
Now, more than 2,700 people have been a part of it. Learning, competing, growing, and most of all, believing that they can get better than they even imagined.
That’s the part that gets me.
Because this whole thing started with one simple belief — that anyone can make real progress in their game if they just get the right help at the right time.
And this week, I was reminded exactly why that matters.
A new person joined the community just a couple of days ago.
And she had questions about her mixed-doubles positioning and strategy. So, like I do with every new member who responds to my first direct message, I sent her a quick personal message back.
It was three minutes long, just walking her through exactly what to focus on first.
Two days later, she messaged me again.
She’d just won Gold in mixed doubles.
She also posted in the community, which led to a huge outpouring of support and congratulations:
She said she felt more mentally prepared after studying the mindset and strategy lessons inside the school.
Two days. That’s it.
That’s all it took for her to achieve something she really cared about. And that’s what ThatPickleballSchool is all about.
It’s not just a library of videos.
