Hey Everyone,

If you keep popping the ball up and your opponents keep smashing it at you, it’s almost always one of three things.

  1. You’re off balance

  2. Your swing’s too big

  3. Your body is still moving at contact

The thing is, we often start preparing for the next shot before we finish hitting the current one.

Not ideal.

SO, what should you do instead? Well…

  1. BE on balance

  2. USE a smaller swing

  3. GET still at contact.

Now of course, it’s easier said than done. BUT the good news, it is fixable.

And I know this because I recently worked with my dad to fix this issue (specifically with his resets). And it took about 20 minutes to get right.

Now, is it always that quick? No.

But, when you’re on the court this weekend, start running all your pop ups through the filter of. . .

Was I off balance? Was my swing too big? Was I still moving at contact?

Then, do your best to correct it on the next point.

See you next Friday,

-Kyle
